Champion Blinds recently finished up an exciting project, installing a variety of window coverings, including sheer curtains at Point Lonsdale’s Lon Retreat. This project allowed our team to collaborate with some of the most talented and innovative professionals in their respective fields, from architects to interior designers.
Lon Retreat was unveiled last year in Point Lonsdale, as an amazing sandstone retreat with seven separate spaces designed to maximise comfort and relaxation for guests. The goal for this project was for the window coverings to help accentuate the abundance of natural light throughout the retreat, whilst also complementing the use of natural tones and coastal materials.
The curtains we used for this project help bring in the natural landscape, which was important for the owners, as opposed to darker and thicker curtains that create a barrier between exterior and interior spaces. Guests have the opportunity to control the temperature of the room as they see fit, allowing them to enjoy the coastal breeze and fresh air from the surrounding farmlands.
We have used natural tones for curtains and other window coverings throughout the retreat, and really enjoyed working with the clients and other parties involved to help deliver the best result possible when it comes to style, functionality and getting that overall ambiance in a room just right.
Owners of Lon Retreat, Claire and Rob were adamant on seeking out suppliers that are passionate about their work and creations, which is one of the reasons Champion Blinds were so excited to be given the opportunity to work on this amazing project. Pretty much everything used in the hotel is sourced locally, from the furniture right down to the wine and produce used for guest’s breakfasts.
